Carole Robin & David Bradford

Carole Robin Ph.D. was the Dorothy J. King Lecturer in Leadership, Director of the Arbuckle Leadership Fellows Program and longtime teacher in Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business legendary Interpersonal Dynamics (aka Touchy Feely) course.  She was known as the Queen of Touchy Feely and received the MBA Distinguished Teaching Award. When she retired in 2017, a scholarship was established in her name. Subsequently, she co-founded Leaders in Tech a nonprofit which brings two decades of lessons to Silicon Valley startups.

David Bradford, Ph.D. is the Eugene O’Kelly II Senior Lecturer Emeritus in Leadership at Stanford Graduate School of Business where he taught for over 50 years. He was the primary architect for the legendary “Touchy-Feely” course (aka Interpersonal Dynamics) which is one of the School’s flagship offerings. He introduced leadership to the GSB curriculum at the MBA and executive level by developing multiple courses and mentoring colleagues for nearly four decades.

David and Carole will provide us with an overview of what thousands of Stanford GSB alumni have learned in “Touchy Feely” over decades and are now in their book Connect as well as answer questions/ provide tips on how to best apply the book’s valuable lessons. We encourage people to buy and read the book prior to the session so as to get the very most out of it!

Chris Vogt

Chris Vogt is a Stanford LEAD graduate from the Vanguard cohort with a certificate in Personal Leadership. He is Director of Sales at ServiceNow where he leads a team in the success and support of a top, strategic client.  ServiceNow was ranked in 2020 as #1 on Fortune’s Future 50 list, certified by Great Place to Work for the second consecutive year and was Forbes’ Most Innovative company in 2018.  Previously, Mr. Vogt has served in enterprise sales and marketing positions at Salesforce, Cisco Systems, Avaya and AT&T.  Early in his career he worked in public relations in the financial district of New York City, and managed national touring concerts and events for a regional promoter which has since become Live Nation Entertainment.  Mr. Vogt is co-founder of Pallyme, an early start-up relationship management application.  He holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University.  

Learn tips and tricks to connect to your weak network ties in order to get what you want.  In this session, Chris will be sharing a proven methodology that can guide and accelerate your personal or professional network, help you stay on track to achieve your goal, and simplify building a relationship in our digital age.
