Workshop Description:

Through a series of real-life examples that feature national and global impact scenarios, participants will explore business and leadership (self-care) practices that can enable significant company growth and meaningful connections through the art of slowing down. Workshop participants will also be invited to reflect on their own pace of leadership and to share inspirations and lessons learned from periods in our life when we were either forced to slow down or had the privilege of time to course-correct and increase our impact

About the Speaker:

Vanessa is a business strategist and former executive with 10+ years of national and global experience including Fortune 500, startups, government, higher education, and nonprofits. Her career spans the private and public sectors with award-winning work in community engagement and innovation. Vanessa grew up in Munich, Germany.

She discovered her passion for positive impact while taking down the Berlin Wall with a sledgehammer as a young child. In her current role as a US-based business and community development consultant, she focuses her efforts on values-based leadership, empowered teams, and equitable communities. Vanessa is a select fellow of the Dent The Future (DENT) network and a participant of the Stanford Graduate School of Business LEAD Voyagers cohort.

She is looking forward to contributing to the LEAD community by sharing her experience with slowing down as a leadership tool to create better relations with oneself and our teams, communities, and customers. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on long walks or hikes, reading, tending to her collection of succulents, and mentoring aspiring world changers.
