Inspirational LEADERS - Erica Staufert Carvalho
Erica Staufert Carvalho

Erica was born in Brazil but was raised moving around the world. Today she is living in Zurich, Switzerland, and working full time as a Project Manager. Growing up surrounded by various cultures, she became interested in humanitarian work where today she tries to contribute to the field through working with an NGO, Renctas International.

Growing up, Erica moved around a lot and saw how communities were positively impacted by humanitarian aid. It influenced her on always trying to be a part of those efforts. Through her university years, she contributed and worked with NGOs, such as the International Federation of the Red Cross during the Ebola crisis. After graduation, she received advice to work in business before professionally joining an NGO, to gain as much experience as possible in order to be of strong impact in the humanitarian world. Being a bit impatient, after a few years, she started looking to work pro bono for an NGO. This is how she started working with the NGO Renctas from Brazil with the effort of establishing their partner NGO Renctas International here in Switzerland. During this inspirational talk, she will tell you more about her involvement for a better world.
